Brrrrrr

Today has been a very cold, windy, snowy day (high of 10 with a wind chill of -8 or so). With the awful weather, we chose not to drive the 13 miles it takes to get to church (roads were very bad with all the blosing snow). We did have our own short service at home with our 3 children.

We have no idea how much snow we actually got as it is just blowing so hard that half the yard is exposed and the other half is drifts. The prediction for our area was 2-6 inches (but the winter storm warning did say we could get anywhere up to like 10 inches).

Do animals have a sense to tell that a storm coming? I suspect so.....our chickens spent all day yesterday in the coop, even though it was only cold out with some wind and a small amount of snow. Today they had NO desire to go out. I just made sure that they had lots of food/water in the coop.

This is what it looked like outside our front window this morning.
